We are so excited to announce the details for this years Mid Year Concert!

Our Mid Year Concert is an informal concert that allows parents, grandparents and friends to see what your children have learnt in class throughout the first half of the year. Our Mid Year Concert is a highlight of the year and so much fun!

LOCATION

Our Mid Year Showcase will be held in a NEW EXCITING LOCATION!!!

Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre

UNIFORM

All students are required to wear full Dance Sensations uniform to perform in as well as the correct footwear. Uniform includes purple tutus, black ballet dresses, purple and black crops, black tights or shorts, tracksuit shorts/pants, and DS t-shirts (NOT OLD END OF YEAR CONCERT T-SHIRTS).

Correct footwear includes:

Jazz - tan jazz shoes (jazz stockings optional) - available to purchase at studio

Ballet - pink ballet shoes (ballet stockings optional) - available to purchase at studio

Hip Hop - any colour sneaker/jogger shoe (jazz stockings optional)

Cheer - white sneaker/jogger shoe

Acro, Aerial Skills, Contemporary and Lyrical - bare foot (convertible jazz stockings optional)

Tap - black lace up tap shoes with low tan or white coloured socks (jazz stockings optional)

MINIS

For our littlest ones, dancers can wear any DS uniform. We would prefer if the minis chose one outfit (e.g. purple tutu, ballet dress, crop, tshirt, and pants) and stayed in it for the entire show for all their dances. The only thing that needs to be changed are the shoes! So please make sure your dancer has their name on all their shoes when they come back stage so they don't get lost!

Please note: The venue can get quite cold inside. Dancers may wish to wear something warm over their uniform that they can take off quickly and easily like a jacket etc. Please ensure it is labelled with their name.

We do have more uniform stock arriving soon for the smaller sizes currently out of stock and will notify families when this is in, but make sure you don't leave any uniform purchases until the last minute as our uniform does sell out fast!

PRESENTATION

Any long hair is required to be pulled neatly off their face in a high ponytail. There is no need for makeup as there are no stage lights.

Please also make sure shoes and uniforms are clean and looking presentable.

If you are unsure of your dancers class names these can be viewed on the Parent Portal or on your Enrolment Confirmation.

***If your child is unable to attend the concert – please let us know ASAP so teachers can be notified.***

If you aren't already, please make sure you are on Band App. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your dancer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year. Reach out if you need any assistance with joining your dancers classes on Band.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday 1st June and can be purchased by clicking the button at the top of this page.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Please ensure you review the Show Orders to purchase tickets to the correct show.

* Children who are not yet at school do not require a ticket if they will not be occupying a seat and will sit on a parents lap.

Note: Tickets are general admission, there is no allocated seating or limits on number of tickets you can purchase.

Tickets will be available until sold out.
